Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) participated in TEKNOFEST 2021 with 235 projects, making it the university with the highest number of project applications among foundation universities. HKU made it to the finals in 6 different categories, including 'Technology for the Benefit of Humanity', in the competitions within the scope of the festival.

Turkey's largest Aviation, Space and Technology Festival TEKNOFEST 2021, of which Hasan Kalyoncu University is among its academic stakeholders, was held at Atatürk Airport with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

HKU, which participated in TEKNOFEST 3, which was realized under the leadership of the T2021 Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, with 235 technological products developed by its students and academics, became the university that made the most project applications among foundation universities. HKU, which participated in the TEKNOFEST competitions held in Gaziantep last year with 43 projects, increased its performance with the teams it strengthened and managed to increase the number of applications by 5,5 times. HKU broke another record with more than 1400 applications made by its students to the TEKNOFEST Technology Competitions.

Hasan Kalyoncu University achieved another success by reaching the finals in 2021 different categories in the competitions within the scope of TEKNOFEST 6. At the stands set up in the TEKNOFEST area, information was given about the finalist devices and applications of the university. In addition, training simulator, bridge crane simulator, virtual reality, augmented reality-based virtual therapy, thermal camera drone, virtual reality-based tourism project etc. developed by Hasan Kalyoncu University students and academicians. Other solutions and applications such as The 6 categories for which Hasan Kalyoncu University made it to the finals with their projects are as follows: Technologies for the Benefit of Humanity Competition, International Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Competition, Education Technologies Competition, Tourism Technologies Competition, International Efficiency Challenge Electric Vehicle Races, Unmanned Underwater Systems Competitions.

HKU Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli stated that they are proud to be the leader among foundation universities in 2021 and made the following assessments:

Hasan Kalyoncu University also introduced its technological studies, events and products at TEKNOFEST 2021, where the important companies of Turkey took place with their stands. Defense industry solutions, simulators, medical products, virtual reality and augmented reality applications exhibited at the university's booth became the focus of attention of visitors of all ages throughout the festival.
