The following discounts are applied to TCDD Tasimacilik high speed trains and main line trains (as of 8 September 2021)
a) 15% for those who buy a round-trip ticket: It is applied to the round trips made by trains open for sale between the same exit - arrival stations. Passengers can choose different trains (YHT-Mainline), different locations (1st and 2nd Positions) and different wagons (beds, covered bunks, etc.) during their journey.
b) Young 15%: Young people between the ages of 13-26 can benefit.
c) Teacher 15%: All teachers still working in public and private schools of all degrees and types, affiliated to the Ministry of National Education or approved by this ministry (including the principal, assistant principal), in higher education institutions (university, faculties, institutes, colleges, conservatories, vocational schools). to all teaching staff working in practice and research centers, teachers of Turkish nationality and working in foreign countries,
d) Military passengers 15%: Officers, non-commissioned officers and military officers still working in the Turkish Armed Forces, NATO military officers, specialists, extended sergeants, corporals and privates (for their trips with a dispatch ticket)
e) Group passengers of at least 12 people 15%: Passengers who want to travel in groups, regardless of their qualifications, provided that they are at least 12 people or pay a fee based on this number,
f) 60% for passengers aged 15 and over,
g) Domestic and foreign Press Card holders 15%: Cards issued by the Prime Ministry General Directorate of Press and Information are valid for domestic and foreign press card holders.
h) 20% to the working TCDD Personnel, their spouses, children and TCDD retirees and their spouses
i) Passengers aged 65 and over 50%,
j ) Children (between 7-12 years old) 50% discount. (Children aged 0-6 can travel free of charge, provided that a separate place is not requested.)
*For age-based discounts (Young, 65 Age, etc.), the date of birth is taken as a basis when calculating age.
FREE SHIPMENTS
These are the transportations made in accordance with international agreements and laws. Passengers, who are given the right to travel free of charge by the relevant laws, during their travels on passenger trains;
- TR. By presenting the Free Travel Cards with the inscription “FREE TRAVEL CARD” issued by the Ministry of Family and Social Policies,
- Passengers with disabilities by showing the Free Travel Cards on which "FREE TRAVEL CARD" is written, issued by the Ministry of Family and Social Policies, or the Disabled Identity Card with the words "FREE" issued by the Prime Ministry Administration for Disabled People, or the Identity Card indicating the disability status,
- In accordance with the agreements made with foreign railway administrations, foreign railway employees submit their permit documents,
They can travel for free.
Passengers who want to benefit from these discounts and have the necessary qualifications must submit the documents received from the relevant institution and accepted by TCDD at the time of sale and at the controls. Otherwise, the provisions of "ticket on the train" are applied.
The documents required for the implementation of the discount, travels, classes, number of departures and sales rules shall be determined by TCDD unless there is a separate provision in the laws.
In some cases, passengers who will benefit from the free travel to be made by law are required to register in the TCDD Customer Relationship Management System or the institution they are affiliated with. If the passenger does not have a registration, he cannot benefit from the discounts.
For trips to be made with legal discounts, the discount right covers only the travel fee. The fee for additional services requested by the passenger is collected separately.
