According to the circular; If it is determined by the police teams that the commercial taxis do not take the passengers, the passenger will be taken to the commercial taxi, and legal action will be taken, including the ban from traffic, for the commercial taxis that insist on not taking them.

Commercial taxi inspections will be increased, and civilian personnel will conduct inspections in commercial taxis, as in intercity buses.

Taxi Controls circular has been sent to 81 provincial governorships by our Ministry.

In the circular, it was pointed out that there has been an increase in complaints recently that some taxi drivers, especially in metropolitan cities, do not take passengers for short distances or during rush hour.

In the circular, it was emphasized that this situation could increase the arguments between taxi drivers and passengers and the incidents that affect the public order, and it could cause grievances between citizens and tourists who travel/want to travel in commercial taxis. In order to prevent these grievances, the controls to be made are listed as follows:

In case of complaints/applications regarding the absence of passengers due to short distances/traffic density in taxis, and in case the issue is determined ex officio during the inspections, the security units will eliminate the grievances of the passengers.

Necessary legal action (including ban from traffic) will be taken in coordination with the relevant chamber and municipality about taxi drivers who insist on not picking up the passengers.

Commercial taxi inspections will be increased and civilian personnel inspections applied in intercity buses will also be applied to commercial taxis.

Contact information regarding the channels (municipalities, chamber of tradesmen, etc.) where taxi passengers can submit their complaints about the grievances they have experienced will be shared with the public.
