The regional authorities responsible for agriculture and animal husbandry stated that the aim is to renew the rangelands that have been in danger of extinction due to overgrazing in the last ten years.

The central government has been subsidizing the renewal of grasslands throughout the country since 2011. In this context, Inner Mongolia has distributed more than 45,5 billion yuan ($7,03 billion) of subsidies to the livestock producers to support local livestock and ensure proper breeding.
