The 8th hearing of the Çorlu Train Massacre has begun. The 25th hearing of the Çorlu Train Massacre, in which 8 people lost their lives, has begun. The families protested that those responsible were not brought to the hearing. Families gathered at Çorlu Power Station before the hearing started a walk.

'You didn't bring anyone who was guilty here'

Speaking at the hearing, Mehmet Öz, grandfather of Oğuz Arda Sel, said, “The prosecutor's office allowed experts who had commercial relations with TCDD to prepare reports. The court did not listen to it. We've been at the court gates for three years, but you didn't bring anyone who was guilty here. If this is the case, there should be no court and we will know.”

Bihter Bilgin's mother, Zeliha Bilgin, said, “Why has the right side been empty for 3 years? Why don't criminals come? If we insult someone here, we will be tried in court and convicted. But there are no culprits in the case where 25 people died in three years. My child is at the cemetery instead of going to school today,” he said.

'There is no Binali Yıldırım responsible for all this here'

Oğuz Arda Sel's mother Mısra Öz said, “Congratulations on your judicial year. I want to ask the court how are you. How was your vacation? Our six months were bad again. The same 3-4 people were brought before us for six months. We are not here to see your smiling face. There is no Binali Yıldırım responsible for all this here. Your delegation and your prosecutor are protecting the murderers," he said.

The judge said, “We are waiting for the prosecutor's file. I didn't shut up because of your pain. But I do not accept the accusations.”

'Who is protecting them?'

Necmettin Sel, the grandfather of Oğuz Arda Sel, said, “My son and grandson had dreams and they disappeared. I told this to the President when he called me. 25 lives are gone, you still haven't brought anyone. I ask the prosecutor and the delegation, who is protecting them? There is no justice and no conscience. Even a research proposal is rejected in the parliament," he said.

The trial continues.

'Those who killed 25 people have not been tried for 3 years, but we are the accused'

Mısra Öz, who continues her legal struggle, said in a statement to soL yesterday that today is important because it is the first hearing held in Çorlu.

“Four low-level civil servants have been put on trial for 3 years as a result of the indictment prepared with the report prepared by the experts who carried out the crime, before the bodies were removed on the night of the incident,” Öz said:

“When it comes to us, the judiciary is operated very quickly. But it stops when it comes to murderers. I will be tried in Ankara on September 13. Not only me, but also two family members and our lawyers are in this trial. Can you imagine, those who killed 25 people have not been tried for 3 years, but we are the suspects.” (News Left)
