Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has prepared a project for 3 intersections that will ensure traffic safety on the Tire City Road, which it has taken over. Two of the intersections on Turgut Özal Boulevard and the other on İnönü Boulevard will be put into service by the end of 2021.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality pressed the button for the intersection projects that will breathe the Tire traffic. After the review process on the route, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Department of Transportation prepared the intersection arrangement projects for the intersection of Turgut Özal Boulevard, Selçuk Street and Hagia Sophia Street, and the intersection of İnönü Boulevard and Genç Caddesi.
The intersections will be rearranged as a roundabout island. A signaling system will be applied for driving safety at all 3 intersections. The manufacturing works, which will begin in the coming days, will be completed by the end of this year.
The Tire city transit road, which is planned to be arranged and includes a route with a total length of 3,8 kilometers, was transferred from the General Directorate of Highways to the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality last April.
