Izmir Metropolitan Municipality organizes International Izmir Alevism Bektashi Days for the second time between 1-3 October. The program includes a symposium, semah show and concert that brings together representatives of the Alevi community from Turkey and different parts of the world.
International Alevism Bektashism Days, organized for the second time by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, will be held at the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center between 1-3 October 2021, free of charge and open to the public.
Within the scope of the program, the “1. International Alevi Rituals Symposium” will be held. In addition to Turkey, scientists from America, Canada, England, Austria, Poland, Bulgaria and Azerbaijan will participate in the symposium. Symposium sessions will be between 2:2 and 10.00:18.30. On Saturday, October 2, at 20.00, there is an event called “Those Who Whirl With Love” in the Great Hall of Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center. Six ensembles will participate in the event, performing the traditional cem semahs of the Alevi hearths in Turkey and Bulgaria. Erdal Erzincan and Ender Balkır, one of the most important performers of Alevi music, will take the stage at the “Love Sayings” event on Sunday, October 3 at 20.00.
