Gin International Animation Festival Opens Its Doors in September

The 17th China International Animation Festival will be held from September 29 to October 4 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province of China. Jointly organized by the China Media Group, the China National Radio and Television Administration and the Zhejiang Prefecture, the fair will host exhibitions, competitions, forums and commercial activities. It is aimed to intensify the contact between domestic and foreign cinema, television and animation companies with the events organized at the fair.

The China International Animation Festival, first held in 2005, has so far attracted attendees from more than 80 countries and regions. The number of companies and institutions participating in the festival reached 17 thousand, while the number of participants exceeded 18 million. The amount of contracts signed increased to 170 billion yuan. Over the years, the festival has grown into the largest-scale, best-known and most influential animation festival in China.

The animation industry in China has entered a period of rapid development in recent years. The total production of the country's animation industry totaled 2019 billion 194 million yuan in 100.
