Virgin Hyperloop introduced its new capsule concept with a video that will carry intercity passengers faster than a thousand kilometers per hour in vacuum tubes by ventilating them with magnets.

Hyperloop is described as one of the main modes of transportation of the future. Some experts even state that it will be the fastest mode of transportation. The Hyperloop concept is based on trains or wagon-like capsules traveling at high speed in a pipe. Recently, Virgin company announced the latest developments about the Hyperloop project, which it has been working on for a long time. Virgin Hyperloop, which is quite ambitious, was also harshly criticized by some experts.

Virgin Hyperloop introduced its new capsule concept with a video that will carry intercity passengers faster than a thousand kilometers per hour in vacuum tubes by ventilating them with magnets. Instead of combining to form a train, the capsules can travel in a convoy one after another.

Virgin Hyperloop's first passenger test drive last year reached a speed of 170 kilometers per hour.

Government support

Virgin Hyperloop has announced that its battery-powered capsules will have zero direct carbon emissions.

In July, another company that aims to enable travel in vacuum tubes, Hyperloop TT, introduced the HyperPort concept, which aims to transport ship containers in a similar way.

Hyperloop was also included in the investment plan passed by the US Senate a while ago, paving the way for government funding to be given to companies that will invest in this field.

But there are still question marks about the practical part of this concept.

The biggest question is how prices can compete with the airline or rail, despite the cost of building an extensive vacuum tube network.

Virgin Hyperloop answers this question by saying that it will use technological developments to reduce costs and benefit from public funds.
