İBB subsidiary SPORT ISTANBUL is breaking new ground in the field of e-sports, which is a rapidly growing type of sport in the world. E-sports is added to the trainings carried out in 15 branches in sports schools. For the first time in Turkey, theoretical lessons will be given to children through online trainings. You will be taught ways to stay physically and mentally healthy.

SPOR ISTANBUL, a subsidiary of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), is undertaking a new study to increase the physical and mental activities of Istanbul residents and to build a healthier future. E-sports, a rapidly growing type of sport in the world, is added to the innovative projects aimed at the dynamism of the city and its young population. The e-sports category is put into service as the sixteenth branch in sports schools where training is provided in fifteen different sports branches. With the study, children will gain experience with e-sports, which has become one of the most common activities in the world. In the program, which includes theoretical training, ways to stay physically and mentally healthy will also be taught.

FOR A GENERATION THAT PRODUCES THE FUTURE, NOT CONSUMING TECHNOLOGY

Experienced names in e-sports training will share their experiences. 19-year-old Emre Ergül, founder of Sangal Esports and Daxe Games, one of Turkey's biggest e-sports clubs, professional e-sports manager Berke Mol and e-sports coach Canpolat Yıldıran, who has brought Turkey success in the international arena, will meet with young people.

The program aims to improve children's cognitive skills, creative thinking abilities, motivation and leadership skills, empathy abilities and individual control, computer and social media usage knowledge and in-game communication.

Children who will participate in e-sports training will also receive theoretical healthy nutrition, athlete psychology and physiotherapy lessons from experts in their fields. One day a week theoretical and one day practical lessons will be held online.

Those who want to participate in the 8-week training can register at event.spor.istanbul. The classes of the e-sports training, for which registrations are opened, will start on Monday, August 16.
