Domestic commercial vehicle manufacturer Karsan has reached an agreement with Oyak Renault for the production of the Renault Megane Sedan model, which is produced at Oyak Renault factories in Bursa.
In the statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), it was said: “An agreement has been reached between Karsan and Oyak Renault regarding the production of Renault Megane Sedan branded vehicles by Karsan, and a contract has been signed as of 02.08.2021. The duration of the said contract is 5 years from the production start date. According to the contract, the investments required for the production start are planned to be completed within 1,5 years. The planned investment amount for the related production to be carried out at Karsan facilities is 210 million TL. The said investment will be such that it will respond to an annual capacity of 55.000 units.”
