IMM President Ekrem İmamoğluexamined the ongoing works in Bebek Beach and Bebek Park on site. Making evaluations after receiving a short presentation from the authorities, İmamoğlu said, “The work done here is very valuable. We get several benefits; we have both renewed the baby park and tidied up the beach arrangement here. Another issue in the Bosphorus is boat pollution. Our people cannot watch and live in certain areas. We will be starting a good example of that in a way here," he said. İmamoğlu also gave the good news that the park and the beach will be opened at the end of September.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) President Ekrem İmamoğluorganized a field and study tour to Bebek beach and Bebek Park. Accompanied by the Advisor to the President, Murat Ongun, the trip was accompanied by İmamoğlu on the beach; It started with a mini presentation from Yasin Çağatay Seçkin, Head of Park, Garden and Green Areas Department.
After closely examining the Bebek Park, which hosts centuries-old trees, and the works on the Bebek coast, İmamoğlu made a brief assessment.
PEOPLE CAN FOLLOW THE STRAIT
Explaining that the arrangement on the beach is made with iron mold piles, it is a hard work, İmamoğlu said, “We gain a few advantages; We both renewed the Bebek Park and we are recovering the coastal arrangement here.” Stating that a different model has been tried on the throat, İmamoğlu said, “So people will be able to watch the throat at the same time, both at the front and at the rear. There will also be a cleaning here. In other words, this will be a beautiful area that is completely open to the beach,” he said.
THERE IS BOAT POLLUTION
Emphasizing that one of the important issues in the Bosphorus is boat pollution, İmamoğlu continued as follows:
“Our people cannot watch and live in certain areas. Here, we will start a good example of it in a way. He is also in our work. We make such an observation and analysis of the entire Bosphorus. Because in some places there may be a boat, in some places it should not. In particular, there are problems with commercial boats. Extremely high and large boats cause people to not see and experience the beauty of the Bosphorus. At this point, this place will emerge as an exemplary business.”
WILL OPEN AT THE END OF SEPTEMBER
Noting that they also carried out important works in Bebek Park with the arrangement on the beach, İmamoğlu said, “It was also good that the baby park was recovered in a very valuable way. We also did some serious tree care there. Especially about our old plane trees. It was a sparkling park. Hopefully, we will be making a nice opening at the end of September.”
