Within the scope of the “women-friendly” service approach of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, the employment of women within the Metropolitan Municipality is increasing day by day. Announcing that the EGO General Directorate, which employed 10 female bus drivers last year, will recruit 15 female bus drivers this year, Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş said, “We believe that women should exist in all areas of life and we continue our work in this direction.” Female candidates will be able to apply to the Bus Operations Department of the EGO General Directorate between August 23 and September 15, 2021.
Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş, who gives importance to the ideas of women in the city administration and carries out projects that make the lives of women living in the Capital easier, adds new ones to its "women-friendly" practices every day.
While the Metropolitan Municipality has attracted attention with its policy that has increased women's employment in recent years, EGO General Directorate pressed the button to recruit 15 female bus drivers this year.

APPLICATION PROCESS STARTS 23 AUGUST
Last year, 10 female bus drivers started to work at the request of the Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş, while the EGO General Directorate has now started the application process for the recruitment of 15 female bus drivers.

“TO STRONG FUTURE WITH STRONG WOMEN”
In Ankara, where the number of female drivers working under the EGO General Directorate will increase to 25 with the last year, the number of women sitting in the driver's seat will increase even more with the slogan "Strong Tomorrows with Strong Women".
Female candidates who will apply to the EGO General Directorate must meet the following conditions:
- To be at least high school graduate,
- To have the bus driver's license (E or D class) specified in the law,
- To be able to adapt to the shift working order,
- To meet the criteria in the Road Transport Regulation (to be over the age of 26) and not to be older than 40,
- Obtaining a "No Barrier in Being a Driver" health report from fully-fledged hospitals in compliance with the regulation on the health conditions and examinations to be sought in driver candidates and drivers,
- Having SRC certificate,
- To be knowledgeable about advanced and safe driving techniques,
- To have strong communication skills.
