Izmir Metropolitan Municipality will organize a Fire and Earthquake Symposium and Exhibition with International Participation with its professional chambers in the city. The symposium will bring together experts. At the event between September 30 and October 1, 2021, fire prevention, inspection, training and extinguishing issues will be evaluated. In addition, the studies to be carried out before, during and after the earthquake will be handled by experts.
In cooperation with İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Fire Brigade Department, Chamber of Mechanical Engineers İzmir Branch, Chamber of Civil Engineers İzmir Branch, Chamber of Electrical Engineers İzmir Branch, Chamber of Architects İzmir Branch, Chamber of City Planners İzmir Branch, Chamber of Geological Engineers İzmir Branch and Chamber of Chemical Engineers Aegean Region Branch. Fire and Earthquake Symposium and Exhibition will be held with participation. 30 fire, 1 earthquake presentations and 2021 panels will be held at the symposium to be held at the Tepekule Congress and Exhibition Center of the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers (MMO) between September 26 and October 13, 2. The symposium, which will also include international participants, will bring together experienced names in fire and earthquake.
Call for participation in the symposium
Providing information on the subject, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department Head İsmail Derse said that the attendees of the seminar will have information and they will be able to follow the technological developments closely here. He said, “The symposium will mainly discuss fire prevention, inspection, training and extinguishing. It will also focus on what to do before, during and after the earthquake. Academicians and experts working on these issues will make their presentations. Accurate evaluation of the issue with the participation of all stakeholders and continuation of the cooperation are among our primary goals.” İsmail Derse invited all institutions to the symposium that will bring all stakeholders together for the first time.
Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB) Chamber of Mechanical Engineers İzmir Branch Chairman Melih Yalçın said that the Fire and Earthquake Symposium and Exhibition with International Participation is important for the city. Yalçın stated that necessary steps will be discussed in order to prevent possible problems at the symposium.
