Dilek İmamoğlu and the Istanbul Foundation took action after the benevolent citizens wanted to help the region intensively for the forest fires that started around the Manavgat district of Antalya and Marmaris and Bodrum districts of Muğla.

With the disaster that started in Muğla, Bodrum, Marmaris and Antalya regions, citizens demanded help to the region. Istanbul Foundation, which started working with Dilek İmamoğlu, the wife of Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, requested a list of needs from Muğla Social Services Directorate.

THE TRAILER IS ON THE ROAD IN 3 DAYS

After the list of incoming needs was shared with the philanthropists, a truckload of materials was collected in 3 days and set out to be delivered to the disaster area. The aid truck reached Bodrum yesterday and Muğla today.

PRIORITY GIVEN TO THE EQUIPMENT TO BE USED IN FIRE EXTINGUISHING

In the package consisting mainly of materials to be used in fire extinguishing in the field; equipment such as fireproof trousers and shoes, boots, boots, gas masks, fireproof blankets, fire extinguishers, helmets, medical equipment to be used in burns, phone chargers, powerbank, battery, flashlight, generator.

In addition, to the region with a truck; Men's and women's underwear, t-shirts, shirts, hygiene masks, toothpaste and brush, shampoo, shower gel, soap, detergent, baby diapers, women's and men's, children's-baby clothes, lots of water, baby biscuits and durable cookies were sent.

STREET ANIMALS ARE NOT FORGOTTEN

Not forgetting the stray animals affected by the fire, the Istanbul Foundation provided plenty of dry food to the region.

DİLEK İMAMOĞLU VISITED VILLAGES AFFECTED BY FIRE

Dilek İmamoğlu, together with Bodrum Mayor Ahmet Aras, visited the villages affected by the fire in Bodrum and conveyed their wishes to the citizens.

Speaking to the journalists here, Dilek İmamoğlu said, “Unfortunately, we are living in very sad days with the fires that started all over Turkey. Our country is going through a huge test. Maybe we couldn't be too close to this fire, but we felt the silent screams of the creatures in the trees and forests from far away. We felt the fires with our hearts in our mouths. Sometimes we got very angry, very angry; Sometimes we cried a lot. Thanks to our dear presidents, colleagues and all the people who supported, the fires in many places were brought under control. I am very happy and peaceful today. May God not show such a fire to this country again," he said.

Istanbul Foundation President Perihan Yücel also expressed her gratitude to the benefactors, underlining that it is very important for the donors to want to help before they create a request.
