“Ege University Online Promotion and Preference Days” started at Ege University with the theme of “Right choice, right future”. Prospective students will get to know all aspects of Ege University through online seminars, online counseling for preferences, a choice robot, live connections from the campus, and online campus tours. Promotional stands were set up by all faculties, colleges and vocational colleges in front of the EU Great Sports Hall for candidate students this year on promotion and preference days. Ege University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Budak visited the promotion stands and met with prospective students.
Inviting all university candidate young people to meet Ege University, Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Budak said, “As Ege University, which has a deep-rooted history and has achieved many firsts, we are a fourth generation university with our knowledge and experience of more than 60 years, our well-equipped academic staff, our quality education and research quality that we offer at national and international level, and our qualified graduates who will carry the country to the future. . With the evaluations made by many institutions, our university is seen at the A Plus level, which is the highest criterion, and proves that it offers a peaceful and safe campus life. We aim to meet the accommodation needs of our students under the guarantee of the state, with our dormitory buildings built on our campus and which will be put into service as of September. We are reinforcing our campus culture by renewing our facilities so that our students can be active in sports and social activities. With this awareness, we want to offer our young people the educational materials they need by improving them day by day. In the Central Library, we continue to support the education, training and research activities of our faculty and students with new databases and e-book collections.
Rector Budak addressed young university candidates
Rector Budak, stating that they have adopted a student-oriented management approach, said, “As the first university in İzmir to be awarded the 'Zero Waste Certificate' with our environmental studies, which we set out with the goal of Green Campus, we carry out exemplary practices that raise environmental awareness with ease of transportation and parking arrangements. With a student-oriented management approach, we listen to the demands of our students and create our work in this direction. As a university that has been entitled to receive full accreditation for 5 years within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Program implemented by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK), we take our motivation from science and technology and register our education and training quality. With the wide-scale academic change and transformation mobilization that it started to move our university even further in the field of higher education, it continues to develop fully and covers a great distance. We want to create a positive impact by sharing information about our university's education opportunities, academic and student life, campus life, student exchange programs, scholarship and accommodation opportunities with our young people who will shape their future through the promotion and preference days you have organized this year. We aim to prepare our students for the future as well-equipped individuals in an environment of peace and security. While we are taking firm steps towards becoming a research university, we invite all our young people who will shed light on our way to enlighten our future in our education fields that are entitled to be fully accredited.”
