Railways

  • 30 August 1930 Ankara-Sivas line and Sivas Station opened. 602 km. even 36 tunnel was built and 41.200.000 pounds were spent.   • 1924 – Türkiye İş Bankası started its activities by making its first transaction. The founding capital of the bank was TL 1 million.

  • 1995 - NATO launches an air campaign against Bosnian Serbs. Decisive Force Operation, II. It was one of the most intense bombardments in Europe since World War II.
