• 30 August 1930 Ankara-Sivas line and Sivas Station opened. 602 km. even 36 tunnel was built and 41.200.000 pounds were spent. Prime Minister Ismet Pasha speaking at the opening; Ankara If there were Ankara-Erzurum railways, it would have been suspicious for Europe to enter the Sakarya campaign, ”he said.

• 1071 – After the victory of Manzikert, the Turks under the command of Alparslan began to enter Anatolia.

• 1924 – Türkiye İş Bankası started its activities by making its first transaction. The founding capital of the bank was TL 1 million.
