With the members of the Anatolian Rail Transportation Systems Cluster (ARUS) on the "National Rail Systems Research and Test Center" (URAYSİM) Project, which will make Turkey one of the few centers in the world in the field of rail systems and which is of great importance for Eskişehir, continued under the direction of Anadolu University. An evaluation meeting was held.

The meeting, which was held in line with the request from ARUS, was held at Anadolu University Rectorate Senate Room. The meeting, which was held, ended with listening to the demands of the institutions in order to increase the effectiveness of the URAYSİM Project and taking their opinions on the future of the project. After the meeting, Anadolu University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Temizel, Rector Advisors Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tuncan and Prof. Dr. Ethem Esen and the accompanying guest delegation visited the URAYSİM project area located in the Alpu district of Eskişehir.

What is URAYSIM?

URAYSİM, which is included in the Presidency Investment Program, has the feature of being the most important project implemented recently in terms of railway transportation in our country. The studies carried out for the realization of the URAYSİM Project, which is aimed to lead the rail system sector with the development of high-tech infrastructure, are carried out under the responsibility of Anadolu University and in cooperation with Eskişehir Technical University, the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK), the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) and TÜRASAŞ. With the project, Turkey will be in a more competitive position in the international railway industry market as the first country in Europe to have a 400 km long test track where High Speed ​​​​Train tests can be carried out at 52,93 km/h. The project, which will meet the needs of TÜRASAŞ with the completion of the test units, buildings and roads, will bring many gains such as the realization of production with domestic facilities, having an international say, training personnel and researchers in the field of railway transportation.

What is ARU?

Anatolian Rail Transportation Systems Cluster (ARUS) brings together the leading companies of the rail systems industry and provides cooperation and cooperation in the industry. ARUS, which is the first cluster covering the whole of Anatolia, also undertakes the task of producing national brands by aiming at the principle of “Rail systems are our national cause”. ARUS is a member of the European Rail Systems Clusters Association, ERCI.

This union is a union of 16 European countries (Italy, Poland, France, England, Spain, Turkey, Denmark, Belgium, Sweden, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Germany) and 14 Clusters.
