China's Deputy Minister of Commerce, Qian Keming, noted that so far, 172 countries or international organizations have reached Belt and Road cooperation agreements with China. Speaking at the press conference held by the Press Office of the State Council of China, Qian Keming pointed out that between 2013 and 2020, China's trade volume with countries on the Belt and Road route reached $9,2 trillion.
Underlining that the direct investments made by China to the related countries in the same period amounted to 136 billion dollars, Deputy Minister Qian noted that the relevant countries established 27 thousand more enterprises in China and made an actual investment of 60 billion dollars in China.
Qian said that until the end of last year, thanks to the economic and commercial cooperation zones built by Chinese enterprises in the countries on the Belt and Road route, 4 billion 400 million dollars of taxes were given to these countries and 330 thousand jobs were provided to the local people.
