Names of 6 TCDD Personnel and 2 Civilian Citizens Martyred by the Terrorist Organization PKK

Demiriz Martyrdom Monument, which was built to immortalize the names of six TCDD personnel and two of our citizens who were martyred by the treacherous terrorist organization PKK in 1996, was visited on 12.08.2021.

During the visit to the monument, which was prepared with the cooperation of our citizens living in Demiriz, the Qur'an was read for our martyrs. TCDD 5th Regional Director Ali Seydi Felek, relatives of martyrs and citizens attended the visit.

TCDD 5th Region Director Ali Seydi Felek, who also visited the martyr's house, chatted with our martyr family for a while. Saying that it is our duty of loyalty to keep the names of the railwaymen martyrs alive, Ali Seydi Felek, the 5th Regional Director, said, “We built a very meaningful Martyrs' Monument in Demiriz with the contributions of our citizens. We give the best response to treacherous terrorist organizations such as the PKK by standing strong together. Our martyrs of Demiriz will be remembered forever on this occasion. They martyred for the flag and the homeland. God bless them all. I wish God's mercy on all our martyrs in the presence of our martyrs of Demiriz. Our families are the relics left to us by our martyrs. We will continue to visit the families of our martyrs. We feel the pain of each of them in our hearts. 25 years later, the pain is still fresh. We wanted to keep the memories of our martyrs alive forever by planting saplings on behalf of our martyrs and making a monument today.” he said.
