Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Bekir Pakdemirli announced that 28 of the 31 forest fires that broke out on July 101-91 were under control, and the efforts to extinguish 10 fires continue.
Minister Pakdemirli shared on his Twitter account the latest situation in forest fires.
Pakdemirli stated that the heroes of the forest continue to fight the fires, despite the air temperature sometimes rising to 40-50 degrees, low humidity and wind blowing faster than 50-60 kilometers.
The latest situation regarding forest fires on 28-31 July 2021 is as follows:
12 of 9 fires in Antalya, 7 of 5 fires in Mersin, 7 of 3 fires in Muğla, 20 in Adana, 1 in Aydın Söke, 2 in Balıkesir, 1 in Bilecik center, 1 in Bingöl Kiğı, 1 in Bitlis Mutki, 2 in Bursa, 1 in Çanakkale Yenice, 1 in Çorum Oğuzlar, 2 in Diyarbakır, 1 in Edirne Keşan, 3 in Hatay İskenderun, Isparta Eğirdir 1 in Istanbul, 1 in İzmir, 5 in Kahramanmaraş, 5 in Karaman center, 1 in Kastamonu, 4 in Kayseri Yahyalı, 1 in Kırklareli Vize, 2 in Kilis center, 1 in Kocaeli, Kütahya A total of 2 forest fires, 3 in Manisa, 4 in Osmaniye, 4 in Sakarya and 3 in Şanlıurfa Eyyübiye, were taken under control.
Efforts to extinguish a total of 3 forest fires, 2 in Antalya (Manavgat, Akseki and Gazipaşa), 4 in Mersin Silifke, 1 in Muğla (Marmaris, Köyceğiz, Bodrum and Milas) and 10 in Uşak, continue.
