Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality continues to extend its hand to disaster-affected regions. The firefighters who went to Antalya, where the fire disaster took place, worked with great devotion and contributed to the extinguishing of the fire. The Metropolitan, which also sent construction equipment to the Bozkurt district of Kastamonu, where the flood disaster took place, mobilized for Bodrum this time.

GOVERNMENT INSTITUTIONS MOVED TO CLEAN THE SEA

After the fires, which lasted for days, were put out, work began on healing the wounds. On the one hand, the dimensions of the disaster are revealed, on the other hand, cleaning works continue. While the particles and debris resulting from the fires caused marine pollution in the region, all state institutions were mobilized once again.

CLEANING WITH A SEA CLEANER

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality also sent the Sea Surface Cleaning Boat (Sea Sweeper) to Bodrum district of Muğla in order to support the cleaning works. The Sea Sweeper, which was sent to the region by the Marine and Coastal Services Branch upon the request, will return to Kocaeli after the sea is cleared.

WORK CONTINUES IN BOZKURT

On the other hand, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality immediately took action to wipe the wounds of the flood disaster and sent construction equipment to the region. Acting upon the instruction of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tahir Büyükakın, the Metropolitan Department of Science Affairs had delivered five construction machines to the region to work in the district. A construction machine from the ISU General Directorate, Kartepe and Gölcük Municipalities joined the teams that set out from the Izmit Solaklar Construction Site.

16 PEOPLE SENT TO FIRE IN ANTALYA

Kocaeli Fire Brigade sent off its team of 4 vehicles and 16 personnel to Antalya, and the teams were transferred to the desired points and supported the fire extinguishing efforts.
