Sancar Maruflu, known as 'Izmir Father', was bid farewell to his last journey

Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyerattended the funeral of Journalist-Writer Sancar Maruflu, President of the Platform of People Who Love Izmir, known as “İzmir Baba”. He was buried in Maruflu Işıkkent Cemetery after the funeral prayer performed at the Bostanlı Beşikçioğlu Mosque.

Journalist-Writer Sancar Maruflu, who is one of the veteran names of the public relations sector in Turkey, known as “İzmir Baba” in the public, and the Chairman of the Platform of People Who Love İzmir, was bid farewell to his last journey. The funeral ceremony of Maruflu, who died on Sunday due to multiple organ failure, at the Bostanlı Beşikçioğlu Mosque, was attended by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor. Tunç Soyer MPs, representatives of the political, press and business world, district mayors, managers of non-governmental organizations, artists and people from all walks of life, including İzmir residents. Maruflu's body was buried in Bornova Işıkkent Cemetery after the funeral prayer.
