Samsun Metropolitan Municipality SAMULAŞ A.Ş. offered the students the opportunity to make the "visa" process of their samcards online, thanks to the new system it put into practice.
Urban public transportation company SAMULAŞ A.Ş. continues to make life easier for passengers. SAMULAŞ A.Ş., which completed its infrastructure preparations in cooperation with the Higher Education Institution (YÖK) and the Ministry of National Education (MEB), switched to the online system for visaing and balance loading. Activating the system, which was tested in May, the company put it into the service of students.
Students who use the 'Education Samkart' for discounted travel update their personal cards every year. Students who want to have their card visaed for the 2021-2022 education period will now be able to do this without applying to the company's application center.
According to the new system, the student who will download the 'SAMULAŞ Mobile Application' to their phone will be questioned via the Ministry of National Education and YÖK, whether they are an "Active Student or Active Employee". Thus, without the need to submit any documents, the student will be able to perform the visa process online by following the application steps.
CANNOT BENEFIT FROM FORMAL EDUCATION
Regarding the scope of online visa service, SAMULAŞ A.Ş. It was stated in the statement made by the company that students who do not receive formal education will not be able to benefit from the new system. The statement included the following statements:
“Open Primary Education, Open Secondary Education, Open Education Faculty and students studying in distance education programs of any university will benefit from this service. According to UKOME's decision dated 11.10.2019 and numbered 2019/6, students of apprenticeship schools; Since there is a 30-year-old limit, online visa process cannot be made for the cards of the users in this group. Students who do not receive education in the formal education category should get their visa procedures done from our Samkart Application and Counseling Center. “
BALANCE CAN ALSO BE LOADED ONLINE
Announcing that the balance top-up process can also be done online, SAMULAŞ A.Ş. said, “Without requiring the user to access any dealer or automatic payment device, the opportunity to load the balance online to the transportation card was offered from the 'Online Transactions' page of our institution's website or from the 'My Transportation Cards' field in our mobile application. After completing the online upload steps via the website or mobile application, the amount loaded will appear as 'Pending Balance' on the mobile application. The last step of the online download process is to use the card. In order to transfer the amount that appears as 'Pending Balance' in the mobile account to the transportation card in online downloads, the card must be scanned by HRS turnstiles or bus validators. As long as the card is not used, the amount loaded will be displayed as 'Pending Balance' in the account. For online balance top-ups, there will be a deduction of 0 ₺ per transaction for 50-1,00 ₺ top ups, and 50 ₺ for 2,00 ₺ and above, due to interbank transfer fees.
