German airline Condor Flugdienst GmbH has decided to renew its long-haul fleet with 16 new and more efficient Airbus A330neo aircraft. Condor has agreed with Airbus to purchase seven A330neo aircraft. The airline also plans to lease nine A330neos.

Christian Scherer, President of Airbus International Commercial Affairs, said: “Condor excels at operating many routes profitably, unlike other carriers; We are proud that an in-demand airline like Condor chose the cutting-edge A330neo, which is building the future of their wide-body fleet with the lowest operating costs and passenger comfort. "By operating the A320 and A330neo aircraft together, the airline will take advantage of all the common economic features these two premium products offer, and all the flexibility offered by aircraft, addressing new and existing markets with aircraft of the right size and efficiency," he said.

Christian Scherer said, “The A330neo has again outperformed its competitors, as has been the case with the vast majority of competitive reviews over the last three years. Condor's decision to modernize its long-haul fleet with A330neos will also set a new benchmark in the airline's sustainable flight programme. Thanks again to Condor for choosing us, confirming the competitive value of the A330neo.” he continued.

Ralf Teckentrup, CEO of Condor, said: “We are proud to be one of the first customers of the A330neo in Germany. Thanks to the latest technology and maximum efficiency of the aircraft, we will take off with our new aircraft, which consumes only 2022 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers per passenger, starting in the autumn of 2,1. We are number one in Germany with this value and as the most popular holiday airline we will continue to present sustainability and holiday topics together. Our customers will be able to find the highest level of comfort on board in brand new classes, namely Business Class, Premium Economy Class and Economy Class. We look forward to our new aircraft and successful cooperation with our strong partner Airbus.” said.
