After the severe storm that took place in Ayvalık last May, Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yücel Yılmaz, who promised to build a Fisherman's Shelter after the examinations he made with Ayvalık Mayor Mesut Ergin, kept his promise. to Ayvalık; Ground surveys were initiated in order to build 2 fishermen's shelters, one big and one small.
ANTI FRAGILE AGAINST DISASTERS
Fishermen's shelters, which will be built by keeping modern, useful and safe; It will have anti-fragile features against disasters, which take into account the aesthetic understanding of the people, are integrated with the texture of the city, are environmentally sensitive, can be produced in accordance with the developing demand. 10 boats with a length of 50-85 meters will be able to take place at the same time in the Big Boat Shelter to be built in the Setur Area. In the Small Boat Accommodation Area; 4 boats with a length of 10-250 meters will be able to shelter at the same time.
PRESIDENT YILMAZ: AYVALIK WILL HAVE FISHERMAN'S SHELTERS
Drilling works have started for the “Large and Small Boat Shelters Project”. Yücel Yılmaz, the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, who examined the ground survey works carried out on site, said, “Our fishermen and boat owners in Ayvalık experienced great difficulties in the storm that took place in May. We invited our Minister here and in a very short time, we prepared the project infrastructure of both Ayvalık Municipality and Metropolitan Municipality together, and our relevant ministries agreed. We have now started the ground surveys. In a very short time, 2 shelters will be built both next to the place currently used as a marina and under the feet of Yunus Emre Park, namely Cunda Bridge. We start the ground surveys together with our Highways, project survey coordination and relevant Ministries. In a very short time, we will have such a service in Ayvalık.
