Ferhat Özsoy, General Manager of ASPİLSAN Enerji AŞ, said that the company has started to produce rail system batteries in Turkey and said, “We will see that we will install our aircraft batteries in all airlines, especially Turkish Airlines, in the coming period”.

Especially in the Defense Industry; ASPİLSAN Energy, which continues to develop energy storage solutions for many sectors covered by the mobility ecosystem such as aviation, space, transportation, automotive and medical, introduced its new logo, which is the symbol of its new vision focused on 'sustainable change and continuous development', at the ceremony held on the 40th anniversary of its establishment.

The ceremony held in Kayseri OSB Conference Hall was attended by Erciyes University Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çalış, Rector of Kayseri University Prof. Dr. Kurtuluş Karamustafa, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Hüseyin Beyhan, ASPİLSAN Chairman of the Board Necati Tekin, ASPİLSAN General Manager Ferhat Özsoy and guests attended.

Making a speech after a moment of silence and the National Anthem, ASPİLSAN Chairman of the Board Necati Tekin said, “While ASPİLSAN was a company established to produce batteries for the radios of the Turkish Armed Forces personnel in the years when its activities began, today our primary target is the heart of our country and its deep-rooted trade history. Lithiumion Technology Center has been established in Kayseri. With these investments, a pioneering production center will be established. Great support will be provided to domestic and national production by increasing the product variety day by day with increasing human resources. At the first stage, we will be ready for an annual capacity of 21 million batteries with both knowledge and technological infrastructure. While the role assumed by ASPİLSAN Energy has been generally in the direction of packaging and production, it has now come to a position that designs, develops and produces technology, thus reducing foreign dependency in its field. Despite the covid19 epidemic that has affected the world, ASPİLSAN has increased its employment, and has grown compared to the previous year, contrary to the shrinkage in the face of global economic problems. With this growth, our company has gained a more modern and technological identity in line with the renewal and change efforts that we started in 2020.”

“We have become the producer of Turkey's rail system battery”

Ferhat Özsoy, General Manager of ASPİLSAN, said, “Our certification processes, which are one of the basic conditions for our products to be marketed in different markets, continue. Since 2016, we have paved the way for our batteries to be used in civil aircraft, as we have done serious struggles especially in Europe, having our batteries tested first in Europe and then in the USA, by obtaining the certificate of the European Aviation Agency with great energy consumption, and for our military aircraft. . This August has been a very auspicious month for us. We have done the certification. Hopefully, in the coming period, we will see that we install our aircraft batteries on all airlines, especially Turkish Airlines. However, we also entered the market in rail systems. Here, I would like to especially thank Kayseri Transportation. By supporting us in this regard, we entered the market by testing and approving our first products, and now we are producing the rail system battery of Turkey. Recently, we signed contracts to cover the batteries of TCDD and Istanbul Metro, as well as Samsun, Kayseri and Adana. We continue our activities in this regard," he said.

Aspilsan's new logo

The creation of our new logo was completed within a period of 2020 months, upon the need seen in line with Aspilsan's change and renewal efforts initiated in 5. In this direction, proposals and preliminary studies from 3 different advertising agencies were taken and evaluated and it was decided to work with a Kayseri-based consultant firm. In the first stage, 16 different Logos were worked on and the number was reduced to 6 as a result of a committee consisting of employees from each department, surveys and workshops. In the second stage, 3 logos were discussed in the voting held by the Aspilsan Executive Board, and in the last stage, our logo was chosen by the Aspilsan Board of Directors.

Our logo basically expresses a cycle consisting of the letters a and e of Aspilsan energy. When the letters come together, they also form an infinity symbol and express that energy exists in all areas of our lives and is an endless cycle. The colors and rounded lines used represent Aspilsan's productivity and our national color, Turquoise. Small letters also emphasize our modesty and sharp lines our determination. While our logo shows that we are a high-tech company with its modern look, it also complies with the definition of "Energy Age" given to the new age.

B.C. The tonal gradation of our national color TURQUOISE, which has come down to the present day from the 8th century and entered the world literature as 'Turkish Blue', expresses the transformation and change of Aspilsan.
