Developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), AKSUNGUR provided airborne surveillance services to the firefighting teams by staying in the air for 72 hours in the last 60 hours.

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) shared on its official Twitter account that the AKSUNGUR UAV has been in the air for 72 hours in the last 60 hours and has provided aerial surveillance services to the firefighting teams. TUSAŞ shared, “Satellite-assisted AKSUNGUR stayed in the air for 72 hours in the last 60 hours and provided aerial surveillance services to the teams that devotedly struggled with forest fires in Adana, Antalya and other regions. We wish God's mercy on our martyrs who lost their lives in the fire, and express our condolences to our nation." made statements.

AKSUNGUR, developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), started its first field mission by flying from Ankara TUSAŞ facilities to Adana Şakirpaşa Airport on June 1, 2021. AKSUNGUR, which will be stationed at Şakirpaşa Airport during its term of office, has started to be used by the General Directorate of Forestry within the scope of fire fighting.

AKSUNGUR UAV, which is the eye of the General Directorate of Forestry in the fight against fire, continues to carry out target detection, diagnosis and surveillance activities without interruption. AKSUNGUR UAV, which was developed with domestic and national resources and broke the record for flying with and without weapons, continues to give the General Directorate of Forestry a breather in the fight against fire. AKSUNGUR UAV, which was developed in a short period of 18 months based on the ANKA platform, has the capacity to perform uninterrupted multi-role intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and attack missions with its high payload capacity, provides beyond line of sight operation flexibility with its SATCOM payload.
