TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team looks to maintain its high form in the second half of the 2021 season. Toyota Yaris WRC will once again play at the top in the Estonian Rally to be held between 15-18 July.

TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, which has won the last three races and topped 6 of the 5 rallies held so far this year, is the leader in the Constructors and Drivers' Championship. Sébastien Ogier, who won the legendary Safari Rally last month, is in the lead by 34 points ahead of his teammate and closest rival Elfyn Evans.

However, young driver Kalle Rovanperä, who is in sixth place in the championship, wants to return to the podium with stages that match his driving style. TGR WRC Challenge Program driver Takamoto Katsuta also aims to further his career-first podium success in Kenya.

Rally Estonia, which entered the WRC calendar in 2020, is known for its high-speed roads with jumping points and technical stages. This year's rally has been extended to 314.16 kilometers and will run 24 stages over four days. The rally will start on Thursday evening with a special stage close to the service area in Estonia's second largest city, Tartu. While stages similar to the previous year will be run on Friday, new stages will be waiting for the pilots on Saturday. On Sunday, the rally will conclude with a new Power Stage, with three stages running twice.

Making pre-race evaluations, team captain Jari-Matti Latvala stated that they had a very good season so far and said, “We must continue the same great effort in the second half of the year. Rally Estonia will be a very different challenge than Kenya. This rally is all about speed. "It will not be easy to win here, but we will fight for the summit again."
