The Turkish National Committee of Roads, operating under the General Directorate of Highways, has the "31st. Ordinary General Assembly Meeting with Elections” was held on Wednesday, July 7, at the General Directorate of Highways Halil Rıfat Paşa Conference Hall.
Speaking at the General Assembly, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, General Manager of Highways and Chairman of YTMK; He said that the Turkish National Committee for Roads has been working for 31 years to bring together members of our country's universities, private sector and public institutions related to road and road transportation, to strengthen the cooperation between them and to develop their relations with international organizations.
Uraloğlu, who added that the committee provides the domestic and international contact of the sector, and conveys the latest developments in the transportation sector to different platforms with the national and international events it organizes, said: I find it important in terms of presenting scientific knowledge that will increase
The General Manager thanked the members of the Board of Directors who served in the 2018-2021 period for their services, and wished the new Board of Directors a productive working period.
Şenol Altıok, Head of the Research and Development Department of the General Directorate of Highways and Secretary General of YTMK, gave information about the works carried out by YTMK.
At the meeting where the agenda items were discussed, Deputy General Manager of Highways Metin Aytekin was elected as the Chairman of the Council.
The Turkish National Committee for Roads was established in 2547 with the Law No. 1990 of Higher Education Council, in order to bring together the members of our country's universities, private sector and public institutions related to road and road transportation, to strengthen the cooperation between them and to improve their relations with international organizations. YTMK carries out its activities with the mission of being a pioneer on the road that will lead Turkey to the goal of safe and sustainable road transportation, encouraging the sharing of different experiences of academia, private sector and public institutions through publications and events, and mediating the flow of information between national and international stakeholders in every field related to road transportation. It operates under the General Directorate.
