Kartal Tibet (born March 27, 1938, Ankara – died July 2, 2021) is a Turkish actor, director and screenwriter.
He graduated from Ankara State Conservatory Theater Department. He worked as a theater actor in Ankara for many years. He played the leading role in Karaoğlan: Yigit from Altay, which was adapted to the cinema by the comic character Karaoğlan, created by Suat Yalaz in 1960. The appearance of Cüneyt Arkın, one of the youngsters of the period, as the comic book characters Malkoçoğlu and Kara Murat, increased the popularity of such adventure films. Karaoğlan's adventures that started in Central Asia were featured in the 1966 films Karaoğlan: Baybora'nin Son and Karaoğlan: Camoka's Revenge, in which Kartal Tibet played the leading role, Karaoğlan: The Byzantine Zorba and the Karaoğlan: The Green Dragon and the 1967 Karaoğlan Coming. continued. Tibet later portrayed Tarkan, created by Sezgin Burak, in the 1972 movie Tarkan.
