With the preference robot put into use by the Ministry, students will be able to see the school lists and detailed information about schools at both provincial and country level in the percentile ranges they want. With the preference robot, it is possible to search according to school types, province, district and percentiles for 2020.

“10 choices can be made in central placement”

central placement; Science high schools, social sciences high schools, educational institutions/project schools that apply special programs and projects, and vocational and technical Anatolian high schools will be made according to the preference of the central exam score in line with the Anatolian technical programs. Students will be able to choose up to 10 schools from the list of schools that accept students by exam.

How will local placement be done?

According to the guideline, the criterion of “low number of unexcused absences in the 8th grade” was removed from the central placement and local placement criteria.

Placement in case of equality of central exam scores in schools admitting students by examination; School Achievement Score (OBP) superiority, Year-End Achievement Score (YBP) superiority in 8th, 7th and 6th grades, preference priority and the student who is younger than the date of birth, will be determined respectively.

In local placement, criteria such as the type of schools, quota, secondary education registration area created according to their location, residence addresses of students and school success scores will be taken into consideration.

All students will choose local placement

Students will be able to choose in three groups: schools that accept students with a central exam score, schools that accept students with local placement, and schools with boarding houses.

All students, including students who take the exam and have central exam scores, will have to choose the school that accepts students with local placement. If no preference is made on the screen of the schools that accept students by local placement, the schools that accept students through the central examination and the schools with hostels will not be opened.

Students who have completed the final enrollment process in private secondary education institutions and schools that accept students with aptitude test will not be able to make a choice.

Students who do not take the central exam will be able to choose between two groups: schools that accept students with local placement and schools with boarding houses.

First screen will open for local docking

Students will first be able to choose from the screen of schools that accept students with local placement. In local placement, a maximum of 3 schools can be preferred, of which the first 5 will be from the school registration area.

In the preferences, a maximum of 3 schools from the same school type (Anatolian high school, vocational and technical Anatolian high school, Anatolian imam hatip high school) can be selected.

Students who complete the registration process by making their choices for schools that accept students through local placement will be able to choose 10 schools, up to 5 schools from the screen to be opened for schools that admit students through the central examination, and up to 20 schools from the hostel schools preference screen.

The “green” color on the local placement preference screen indicates the schools in the registration area where the residence address for the student is; “blue” indicates schools located in the neighboring registration area; The “red” color will indicate other registration areas within the province and registration areas outside the province.

Transfers will last two terms

Transfers based on placement, which were made in two terms in last year's LGS placements, will be performed in two terms this year. In each semester, a maximum of 3 schools can be chosen for schools that accept students with a central exam score, a maximum of 3 schools for schools that accept students with local placement, and a maximum of 3 schools for boarding schools.

Students who prefer schools that accept students with local placement and who are placed in their preference in the first placement will not have to choose a school or different type from the registration area during the transfer preference periods based on the placement. However, students who cannot be placed in their preferences will be able to choose a maximum of 2 schools, provided that they choose the first 3 schools from the registration area in their transfer preferences as a basis for placement.

A maximum of 2 schools from the same school type can be selected in the preferences.
