Cabotage Festival Celebrated in Ayvalık

After the ceremony that started with a moment of silence in the Republic Square, the National Anthem and the laying of a wreath on the Atatürk Monument by the Harbor Master Fırat Çengel, Ayvalık District Governor Gökhan Görgülüarslan and Ayvalık Mayor Mesut Ergin laid wreaths in the sea in memory of the “Martyrs of the Sea”. Private boat owners and young people using canoes participated in the celebrations. Citizens watching the ceremonies from the beach supported the Cabotage Day celebrations with applause.
