IMM will organize “Play to Play” events that will last four months in order to provide a fun summer for children all over Istanbul. Children who will move to the activity area in a cortege on the streets will bring carnival enthusiasm to the streets of the city.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) will add a new one to its activities for children who are away from schools and streets during the pandemic period. Nature Camp, Let's Play Outside and Children's Carnival will be held with “Play to Play” activities, which are again instructive and entertaining themes. Children from all over Istanbul will meet at carnivals playing and playing.
The activities to be carried out by the IMM Culture Department will reach children in areas far from the demonstration areas of Istanbul. “Play to Play”, which is planned to last for four months, is aimed to meet children and families in 80 neighborhoods of Istanbul.
As part of the event series, the children will reach the demonstration area by wandering the streets with a cortege that will be formed by a traveling company that will come to their neighborhoods. In the project, which aims to provide a fun time for all residents of the neighborhood, from 7 to 70, as well as children, shows such as circus arts, dance, and ground acrobatics will be exhibited in a theatrical concept.
Neighborhood carnivals, which aim to make the people of Istanbul laugh and cheer up, will start on the Anatolian Side on 10-11 July and continue on both sides of the city on 12, 14, 17, 18, 26, 28, 30 and 31 July.
