Sports car maker Porsche delivered more global deliveries in the first half of this year than it has ever done in a similar period. Demand rose especially in China and the US. Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer reported that it has set a new release record for this period. Indeed, between January and June 2021, Porsche delivered 153 sports vehicles around the world. This number corresponds to an increase of 656 percent compared to the first half of last year, and also sets a new record.

By the way, the most demanded model is again the all-terrain sports car Porsche Cayenne. By selling 20 of the first fully electric Porsche Taycan, the manufacturer has almost reached the number of sales of the iconic sports car Porsche 911.

On the other hand, China is the most important single market position for Porsche. As a matter of fact, one out of every three vehicles produced goes to this country. Meanwhile, the US and European markets, respectively, recorded remarkable developments in the first half of this year.

After the first half of 2021, which was intense and resulted in satisfactory numbers, Porsche business manager Detlev von Platen announced that orders are also high for the near future. He also stated that despite the uncertainties caused by the Corona epidemic and the difficulties in the supply of semiconductors, the situation makes it possible to look to the future with optimism.
