The International Erciyes Ultra Sky Trail Mountain Marathon, in which 10 athletes from 250 countries participated, was completed. Erciyes, which has become the global center of mountain and nature sports, hosted the International Erciyes Ultra Sky Trail Mountain Marathon for the fifth time.
The Ultra Mountain Marathon, organized under the leadership of Kayseri Erciyes A.Ş with the organization of Middle Earth Travel, with the main sponsorship of Mercedes-Benz authorized dealer Bayraktarlar Merkay and with the main sponsorship of G-Schock, Decathlon, Migros, Casio, Meysu, Aygaz, Zuber, Kayseri Gross, Kumsmall, Vaneda, It was held with the support of The Kayseri Loft, Erciyes Hill, Argeus Events, Reyhan Sucukları, Nuh'un Ankara Pasta, Transportation Inc. and Spor A.Ş.
Another first in Turkey was signed in Erciyes. Erciyes Mountain Marathon, which was started at 2.200 meters, created a visual with a hot air balloon.
A total of 250 athletes from Turkey, USA, Russia, South Africa, Serbia, England, Denmark, Sweden, Ukraine and Iran participated in the Erciyes Mountain Marathon certified by the International Trail Running Association (ITRA). Master athletes crossed the volcanic hills of Erciyes and crossed the paths by running in 64 different stages, namely Vertical Kilometer (VK), 25K, 12K and 4K.
In the VK stage, Aykut Kırsay came first, Hakan Akalp came second, and Özgür Özdoğan came third. In women's category, Itır Atadiyen was the winner, Erife Emre was second, and Tatiana Prozorova from Russia was third.
In the 64K stage, Murat Kaya came first, Cevdet Alyılmaz came second and Mehmet Zahir Kül came third. Athletes competing in this track ran 64 degrees all over Mount Erciyes on 360 kilometers of challenging terrain.
In the 25K stage, which started from Sarı Göl, Özgür Özdoğan was the first in men, Erhan Çalışkan was second and Abdullah Özdemir was third, while Itır Atadiyen came first in women, Burcu Çetinkaya came second and Çağdaş Özer came in third.
In the 12K stage, Aykut Kırsay came first in men, Hakan Akalp came in second, and Mustafa Ekseri came in third, while Yücel Gizem Savcı was the first in women, Günseli Bişgen was the second, and American runner Charlotte Harmon was third.
In addition, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Spor A.Ş. also organized a Children's Marathon for children between the ages of 7-12.
