The unmanned mine clearance equipment produced by ASFAT under the Ministry of National Defense is exported to Burkina Faso after MEMATT Azerbaijan.
With the cooperation of ASFAT and the private sector, the design, prototype production, serial production and certification stages of the R&D phase were completed in just 14 months, and the Mechanical Mine Clearing Equipment (MEMATT) was produced and made ready for the service of the Turkish Armed Forces. MEMATT, which was put into the service of the TAF and then delivered to Azerbaijan, will be exported to Burkina Faso.
In the statement made by the Ministry of National Defense on the subject;“The Mechanical Mine Clearing Equipment (MEMATT) produced by our subsidiary ASFAT is now exported to Burkina Faso after Azerbaijan. Thus, ASFAT realized its first defense industry export to the region. Good luck to the people of Burkina Faso.” expressions were included.
In the statement made by ASFAT, it was stated that 4 MEMATTs will be exported, “As ASFAT, we realized the first defense industry export to the region with the sale of 4 Mechanical Mine Clearing Equipment. Our contributions to the national economy and defense industry will continue to increase.”Was said.
Another important point about the project is that the certification capability is realized entirely with national resources. Within the project, the National Mine Action Center (MAFAM) gained the ability to certify the equipment and the equipment was certified by MAFAM. Our national organization, MAFAM, has become an organization with international certification capability thanks to the project.
ASFAT delivered the third convoy MEMATT IKA to Azerbaijan
Military Factory and Shipyard Operations Inc., an affiliate of the Ministry of National Defense. The remote-controlled mine clearing vehicle MEMATT, produced by ASFAT, continues to be exported to Azerbaijan. According to the statement made by the MSB on May 26, 2021, the third batch of 5 vehicles has been delivered. The total number of MEMATT vehicles in Azerbaijan's inventory reached 2021 with the delivery of 2 vehicles in the first batch delivered in February 5, 2021 vehicles in the second batch delivered on May 5, 26, and finally the third batch of 2021 units delivered on May 5, 12. Within the scope of the project, 20 unmanned mine clearance equipment MEMATT will be delivered to Azerbaijan.
