Negative images experienced in the Bosphorus every Eid-al-Adha were prevented this year. İSKİ put an end to another chronic problem of Istanbul with its work.

Images of the Bosphorus getting blood-stained every Eid-al-Adha did not happen this year. The Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ) prevented the blood of the victims from spilling into the Bosphorus with its work.

Continuing its efforts to solve all the wastewater problems of the region, İSKİ sends the victim blood spilled into İstavroz Creek to the Küçüksu-Beylerbeyi Wastewater Tunnel, and from here to the Küçüksu River, with the wastewater lines it has built in Üsküdar Beylerbeyi District, Abdullahağa Street, Beylerbeyi İskele Street and Yalıboyu Street. It was delivered to the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Thus, the negative images experienced in the Bosphorus did not occur this year.

WASTEWATER ENTRY TO THE BOSPHORUS

On the other hand, works to prevent wastewater discharge from the region to the Bosphorus continue at full speed.

The İstavroz Wastewater Tunnel, which is still in progress, is planned to be completed in October 2021.

In addition, works have been completed on the sewage lines constructed on Abdullahağa Caddesi (Seaside Yolu) and Beylerbeyi İskele Caddesi with trenchless technology in order to convey the wastewater that is not in the collection basin of this tunnel to the Küçüksu-Beylerbeyi Wastewater Tunnel.
