Republican People's Party Karaman Deputy Atty. İsmail Atakan Ünver brought up the Konya-Karaman High Speed Train Line project in his speech at the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

Addressing the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, CHP Karaman Deputy Atty. İsmail Atakan Unver; “When are you going to quit dream trading?” he asked. Ünver reminded that test drives were made in February 2021 and in April with the participation of Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu, and then it was announced that the Konya-Karaman high-speed train line would be put into operation in June. Expressing that the month of June is over and the high-speed train line could not be put into operation, Ünver continued his words as follows: “I must say that this is not the first time, no minister or AKP politician has been correct on the issue since it started.”

In the continuation of his speech, Ünver also criticized the words of Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu regarding the “Canal Istanbul” project; “The Minister and his Ministry, who could not foresee even two or three months ahead, are talking about the benefits of the canal to be built in the Marmara Sea and the Bosphorus, which are a part of the world ecosystem formed over billions of years. What should we trust in you?" he asked. Ünver ended his speech as follows: “Why hasn't the Konya-Karaman high-speed train line, which you said 'finished', been opened yet? Your word cannot be trusted, but I ask again: When will it open? My advice is to stop the manipulation about Kanal Istanbul, which is a plundering project, and to finish the works that the public is waiting for.”
