Expressing that they held the ROBOİK competition, which they have been organizing since 2017 as the Presidency, in the field of unmanned surface vehicles this year, President Demir made the following evaluations:

“As the Turkish defense industry, we believe that we will show the experience and success we have gained in unmanned aerial vehicles in the sea and land areas as well. In this context, we have accelerated our ongoing projects in several separate areas for unmanned naval systems. The way to gain in the defense industry is through the formation of this concept in the minds at a young age. With this awareness, we continue to support our young brothers and sisters. For this reason, we are organizing our ROBOİK competition this year, open only to high school and university students, with the slogan of 'We produce our dreams, we sail to the future'.”

President Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir stated that they aimed at the design and prototype production of surface vehicles capable of performing unmanned autonomous missions with the competition. In this way, he wished success to the young people who will participate in the competition, emphasizing that they aim to lead the production of unique vehicles by spreading the subject of producing and developing surface vehicles capable of performing remotely controlled or autonomous missions that can successfully perform tasks related to various scenarios across the country.
