AirlineRatings.com has announced the top 2021 airlines of 20. Qatar Airways was first, Air New Zealand was second and Singapore Airlines was third.
The aviation industry, which was under the influence of the epidemic period, spent 2020 with great difficulties. The acceleration of vaccination with 2021 led to an increase in travel by plane.
While it is said that it will take 2024 for the sector to reach its pre-epidemic level, AirlineRatings.com determined the best airlines of 2021.
The Australia-based aviation safety and product rating agency considers criteria such as fleet age, passenger reviews and product offerings when determining the best airlines. This year, the global team of editors also added airlines' Covid-19 responses to the criteria.
This year, Qatar Airways took its place at the top of the list, which did not include any Turkish company in the top 20. Air New Zealand, which had been at the top of the list six times before, was second, while Singapore Airlines took the third place.
Dubai-based Emirates made the top five, with Australian Qantas fourth.
Alongside the top 20 rankings, AirlineRatings.com has also handed out additional awards for airline offerings, including best business class (Singapore Airlines), best cabin crew (Virgin Australia) and best airport lounge (Qantas).
