Also known as the 'Kağıthane Train' in history, the Golden Horn-Black Sea Field Line, which was used to transport coal during the World War I and arms to Anatolia during the War of Independence, comes to life again with a nostalgic train after 1 years.

The rails were renewed, the train started test drives. The train, consisting of 2 wagons and 2 locomotives, was made by Turkish engineers. There are 3 stops on the 4 and a half kilometer line. The line will be integrated into the Mecidiyeköy-Kağıthane-Mahmutbey and Gayrettepe-Kağıthane- airport metro lines.

The railway line, which was established to transport coal during the First World War, was also actively used during the War of Independence. The rails of the 67-kilometer line, which was idle for a period during the Republic period, were dismantled. It was used in a coal mine in Afyon.

A part of the historical train line was completed by the municipality of Kağıthane. The line will become operational on 30 August for free.
