Acting upon direct requests from taxi drivers to Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş assigned the Department of Urban Aesthetics to prepare a "new model taxi stands project". While the first example of the new model taxi stands project is being implemented in Çukurambar, a tender will be launched on 25 July for the construction of 29 new taxi stands in the first place. The taxi stands are planned to be completed within 1 year.
Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş continues to implement new projects, taking into account the demands from all segments of the society regarding priority needs.
Having commissioned the Department of Urban Aesthetics to design new taxi stands in line with the opinions and suggestions of taxi drivers, Yavaş brings taxi drivers together with more comfortable and modern taxi stands. In this context, the new model taxi stands project, the first example of which was implemented in Çukurambar in the past months, is progressing rapidly, and the tender date for the construction of 25 new taxi stands in the first place has been announced.
TENDER WILL BE DONE ON JULY 29
Metropolitan Municipality Department of Urban Aesthetics will go out to tender on 29 July 2021 for the assembled purchase of new model taxi stands.
The new taxi stands will be designed to facilitate the life of taxi drivers, with indoor and outdoor usage areas, places of worship, warehouse, WC and kitchen sections.
After the meetings with Ankara General Automobile Dealers and Drivers Craftsmen Chamber, especially Ankara taxi drivers, the new taxi stops in type1, type2 and type3 models were determined as follows:

NEW TAXI STATIONS ARE PLANNED TO COMPLETE WITHIN 1 YEAR
In line with the project studies, the points that have been given a stop before but do not have a stop and the taxi stops that have completed their economic life were determined one by one.
After the tender, which will be broadcast live on ABB TV and Metropolitan Municipality social media accounts on July 29, 25 new model taxi stands are planned to be completed within 1 year at the first stage. 7 taxis and nearly 700 taxi stands in Ankara continue to serve the residents of the Capital.
