In the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, national shooter Ömer Akgün became the 10th in the Olympics with 207.3 points in the 4 meter air rifle category final and achieved the greatest success in the history of the Olympics in shooting.

National shooter Ömer Akgün competed in the final of the 10 meter air rifle at the Asaka Shooting Range.

In the shootings in which a total of 8 athletes took part, Ömer showed a very good race and made his name written in the last 4. The national shooter, who narrowly missed the medal, became the fourth in the Olympics with 207.3 points.
