Manavgat Fire on its Third Day: District Still Under Smoke

The forest fire that broke out at four different points in Manavgat on July 28 has caused great damage. While the forest areas in the district were severely damaged, many animals lost their lives in these fires.

The fires in Antalya's Manavgat district spread over a wide area with the effect of the wind. While an investigation was started regarding the forest fires in four different points of the district, it was reported that there were arrests related to the fire in Osmaniye. Manavgat forest fire extinguishing works continue from air and land.

According to AFAD's statement, in these fires in which three people lost their lives, more than 100 people were injured and many houses were burned. As we enter the third day of the fire today, the fire continues in some points of the district.

While the entire district is still under smoke, citizens play a major role in firefighting efforts. On the other hand, it is stated that the wind has eased a little in the district today and this provides an advantage for the works.
