Konya Metropolitan Public Transportation Employees Received Vocational Qualification Certificate

Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay visited the bus and tram movement centers within the Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department and presented their certificates to the employees who won the professional qualification certificate.

Mayor Altay, who visited the Old Garage Bus Movement Center, Saman Pazari Bus Movement Center and Courthouse Tram Movement Center serving within the scope of the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department, wishing convenience to the working personnel, said, “With the continuous improvements, Konya's public transportation load is increasing day by day. On behalf of all Konya residents, I would like to thank our colleagues who provide comfortable service.” said.

President Altay is at the Bus Operation and Rail System Branch Directorates under the coordination of the Continuing Education Center (SUMER) within the scope of the "Mahir Eller Project" carried out in partnership with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the European Union and the Konya Chamber of Commerce (KTO). He also gave the professional qualification certificates given to the personnel in charge.

As SUMER, while the vocational qualification certificates determined by the Vocational Qualifications Authority for the personnel of the Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department were provided free of charge, approximately 1 million liras were saved in this way.

The certified professions are as follows: “City public transport bus driver, urban train driver, urban catenary maintenance worker, urban traffic controller, rail system vehicles electrical maintenance repairer, rail system vehicles mechanical maintenance repairer, railway road construction, maintenance and its repairman.”
