IMM will provide free consultancy services to young people who will choose a university this year, as it does every year. It will help young people to make the right choice with the preference platforms and 21 mobile vehicles established in Istanbul's 2 squares. It will serve those who cannot come to the squares with the Alo 153 line.
The results of the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS), which the university candidates are eagerly waiting for, have been announced. With the announcement of the results, the excitement of preference began among young people. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Youth and Sports Directorate will provide free guidance and consultancy services for the university selection period announced between August 5th and 13th. In order for the candidates to make the best and right choice in the preference marathon, it will start hosting its guests in the squares of Istanbul as of August 4th.
CONSULTING AND GUIDANCE SERVICE IN 21 SQUARE
IMM Preference Counseling and Guidance Centers will contribute to the young people who enter YKS to make their choices in the most correct way. It will serve with 21 people in 190 squares of Istanbul. In the centers; Free counseling will be provided to young people so that they can make their choices correctly according to criteria such as their scores, success rankings and university quotas.
THINGS TO CONSIDER FOR THE RIGHT CHOICE WILL BE EXPLAINED
Along with the scores and other numerical results, the candidates' interests, their desire to live in another city for education, their areas of talent, the transportation possibilities of the city they will choose, and many other factors are among the issues that determine their university preferences. Special attention will be drawn to these criteria by the expert guides at the Preference Counseling and Guidance Centers of IMM. Before making their choices, they will be advised that the universities and departments they will choose should be suitable for them.

University candidates will be able to get support by coming to the centers in the squares between 13 and 2021 every day until 10.00 August 19.00. In addition to the fixed service points, there will be 2 mobile Preference Counseling and Guidance Centers. Those who cannot come to the squares in Istanbul will be able to get support by calling IMM Beyaz Desk's Alo 153 number, and they will be able to reach IMM Preference Counseling and Guidance Centers from anywhere in Turkey by calling 0212 153 00 00. Those who do not reach the squares due to disability, illness or any reason will also be able to get support by calling Alo 153. If deemed necessary, IMM teams will be able to come to their homes and request face-to-face support. In addition, all candidates will be able to create their lists using the preference system at the address prefer.ibb.istanbul and then make their preferences through the system of ÖSYM.
