IMM postponed the activities that were planned to start today due to the 750th death anniversary of Hünkar Hacı Bektaş Veli, who is known for his endless love for all living things and humanity, to a later date due to the ongoing fires in many provinces. İBB Fire Department is engaged in extinguishing fire extinguishing activities in Manavgat; A team of 101 personnel and 14 vehicles sent a team of 101 personnel and 14 vehicles to Marmaris.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) postponed the events to be held in the year of commemoration of Hacı Bektaş Veli, declared by UNESCO, due to fires that took delivery of many cities and caused loss of life and property. The new planning for the “Serçeşme Hünkar Hacı Bektaş Veli Festival” to be held in Yenikapı Event Area between 30 July and 1 August will be shared with the public in the future.

IMM President Ekrem İmamoğluannounced that the events planned to start today were postponed after the news that upset the whole country. İmamoğlu used the following expressions in his message:

“Our activities, which were planned to start today due to the 750th death anniversary of Hünkar Hacı Bektaşı Veli, whom we know with his endless love and respect for all living things and humanity, have been postponed to a later date due to the ongoing fires and losses in many provinces.”

Teams in Manavgat and Marmaris

IMM, which sent its teams to the region to support the fire extinguishing efforts in Antalya's Manavgat district, has also assigned teams for the ongoing fire in Muğla's Marmaris district. A team of 101 personnel and 14 vehicles set out at midnight last night for the ongoing extinguishing works in the district. Crews started their work in the area at noon.

The İBB team, which reached Antalya Manavgat, consisting of 101 personnel and 14 vehicles, started fire extinguishing works at different points in the Gazipaşa district in coordination with other teams working in the region. IMM also sent the İSKİ support team, consisting of 8 personnel and 4 vehicles, to the region.
