In the statement made by the General Directorate of EGO, it was stated that the abolition of the right of health workers to benefit from public transportation free of charge is related to the decision taken by the Presidency.

The following statements were made in the statement made by the General Directorate of EGO;

Our healthcare professionals, who have been working devotedly in the fight against the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic, were able to use the EGO General Directorate public transportation vehicles (Bus, Metro and ANKARAY) free of charge until 30 June 2021, with the instruction of our President Mr. Mansur Yavaş and the Presidential Decrees.

As stated in the Ministry of Interior Circular dated 27 June 2021 regarding the third phase of the gradual normalization process, most of the restrictions applied throughout our country have been lifted. With the transition to the normalization process, the right of our health workers to use public transportation free of charge, which has been going on for about fifteen months, has ended as of 01 July 2021.

Our organization is obliged to provide public transportation services in accordance with laws, laws and regulations. The groups that will benefit from public transportation services free of charge are determined by the relevant laws, regulations and decisions, and there are no health personnel among these groups.

In case any regulation is made in the relevant legislation or the right to benefit from free of charge is extended with a new decision, the relevant information will be made immediately.
