The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure announced that approximately 9 thousand people visited the Camlica Tower during the 30-day Eid al-Adha. Since its opening on June 1, 2021, the tower has been visited by 98 people.
Opened on the 568th anniversary of the Conquest of Istanbul with the participation of Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Çamlıca Tower has become the center of attention of foreign tourists visiting Istanbul as well as Istanbulites who plan to spend the holiday in the city. Camlica Tower was visited by 3 thousand people on the first day of the holiday, 2 thousand 4 people on the second day and 200 thousand 3 people on the third day.
Camlica Tower hosted 98 thousand 418 visitors in two months
Noting that the Camlica Tower, which can broadcast 100 FM radio simultaneously for the first time in the world, is one of the new symbols of Istanbul with its technical features and architecture, the Ministry shared the information that 12 thousand 445 people visited the Tower in the first three days of the holiday. The Ministry announced that a total of 9 people visited the tower during the 29-day Eid al-Adha. Expressing that the families gathered at the new summit of Istanbul, they both experienced the joy of the holiday and enjoyed the fascinating view of Istanbul from the Tower, the Ministry also informed that the Tower has hosted 838 visitors since June 1, 2021.
Tourists' interest in Camlica Tower was great
Reminding that the length of the tower is 369 meters and its height above sea level is 587 meters, the Ministry stated that the tower is the highest tower in Europe with this feature. Stating that foreign tourists from various parts of the world show great interest in the Tower, the Ministry said that visitors who had pleasant moments at the Tower during the Eid al-Adha immortalized their visit with the photographs and videos they took.
The Ministry emphasized that Camlica Tower has become an attraction center that will contribute to the economy and tourism of Istanbul with its gift shops, cafeteria and viewing terraces with a unique view of Istanbul and a capacity of 2,5 million visitors.
